About the Team:
The Internal Audit function at Okcoin is responsible for evaluating internal controls and corporate governance at the company. Internal audit adds value through independent, systematic risk management, control, and governance processes.
About the Opportunity:
As Head of Internal Audit, you’ll lead a growing team responsible for building out the third line of defense. The successful candidate will have extensive prior internal audit experience in the financial services or FinTech industries. You’ll work closely with our compliance, legal and business team members across multiple entities and jurisdictions, to coordinate effective audit review and resulting improvement efforts.
At your core, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, process-driven environment and be able to adapt and adjust plans on-the-fly. You must also have strong prioritization skills and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. Most importantly, you’ll drive results and significantly grow and improve on our global efforts.
What You'll be Doing:
This role will manage the Internal Audit process across various OK Group entities and jurisdictions, as necessary.
In this role you will:
- Design and implement audit processes, procedures and methodologies
- Develop and monitor customized audit program(s)
- Plan and perform audits to ensure compliance with applicable (local) laws and regulations, corporate standards and generally accepted internal audit standards
- Document all information pertaining to audit results, including findings, opportunities and observations
- Present audit results to management and follow up with management on remedial action
- Prepare audit and executive summary reports
- Present audit results to regulators, as necessary
- Assist with implementing audit tools to improve audit efficiencies, as necessary
- Create, revise and document Internal Audit policies and procedures
- Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
What We Look For in You:
- 8+ years of experience in Internal Audit within financial services, FinTech or cryptocurrency industries
- Experienced with setting up, rolling out, and managing Internal Audit programs.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial services regulation, Internal Audit policies, standards, and procedures.
- Strong desire to create documentation and reporting.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvements and to lead projects with cross-departmental complexity.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to interact and lead discussions comfortably with senior levels of management and regulators.
- Self-motivated, critical thinker and adept at working independently and in a dispersed team environment covering multiple and varied tasks.
- Intuitive, highly ethical and comfortable to question and challenge.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Haves:
- Prior experience working in a US multinational or matrix environment
- CAMS, PMI, or equivalent certification
