Web3 Head of Technology

As the Head of Technology, you will play a key role in establishing and championing our vision for technological innovation and the development of new products. The ideal candidate is a senior technology leader with deep experience scaling engineering teams; you are a strong people manager, passionate about talent development, culture, diversity, and a thoughtful collaborator.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the executive team to set clear priorities and goals for Engineering, balancing the long-term and immediate needs.
• Lead efforts to recruit, onboard, and retain a talented engineering org across various disciplines and geographies.
• Build strong relationships across Engineering, Design, Product and Sales teams
• Evaluate and adjust our engineering practices and cross-functional structures in a manner that accelerates velocity and increases predictability of delivery.
• Work closely with the CEO on developing investor relations and engage in high-profile client interactions.

Qualifications:

• Substantial experience building and managing distributed engineering teams of 20+ engineers, including talent development, recruiting, and culture-building.
• Broad knowledge of software engineering and modern web tech: languages, frameworks, techniques, agile methodologies and industry trends.
• Proven experience as a technical lead, driving development from early systems design, prototyping, code reviews, and debugging.
• Provides timely, effective and meaningful feedback that motivates others to improve performance; recognizes and rewards achievement.
• Solid understanding of broad technology trends and the ability to align innovation with business goals.
• Deep interest in emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Web3, dApp, Augmented/Virtual Reality, AI, etc.
• Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities and challenges in the market, with constant evaluation of technological advancements and innovation to cut costs, mitigate impediments and drive success.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Work experience in the blockchain/NFT space
• Architecting or managing AWS, GCP infrastructures
• Experience in enterprise
• Experience in building e-commerce sites
• Programming experience in Nodejs/PHP/ReactJS/MongoDB/Redis
• Architecting APIs and managing SDKs
