Coinbase is hiring a
Web3 Senior IT Technical Program Manager

Compensation: $170k - $200k

Location: Remote - USA

Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

About the Team:

Our IT Operations team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a strong background in site builds to elevate the quality and user experience across our global infrastructure. As a key member of our Network Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with Workplace Experience and Security teams to design, build, and optimize cutting-edge collaboration spaces, offices, hub sites, and centers of excellence worldwide.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage all IT-related activities throughout the lifecycle of our global real estate projects, including new office builds, expansions, and ongoing maintenance of our hub sites, collaboration spaces, and centers of excellence.
  • Take ownership of vendor relationships and contract negotiations for critical services, including Internet Service Providers (ISPs), low voltage contractors, network equipment vendors, end-user equipment providers, and staging and setup services.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the network engineering team and on-site build teams to ensure seamless rack and stack, configuration, and testing of network equipment.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between site designers and low-voltage contractors, coordinating all aspects of cabling infrastructure, Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDFs), and Main Distribution Frames (MDFs).
  • Oversee the entire process for end-user equipment, from ordering and procurement to vendor arrangements for installation and desk setup.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for circuit provisioning, including quoting, ordering, and installation. This includes conducting site surveys, navigating internal vendor onboarding and approval processes, and meticulously reviewing Statements of Work (SOWs) and Master Service Agreements (MSAs).

What We Look For In You:

  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in building and optimizing people-centric facilities, such as offices, call centers, or similar environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in various network hardware vendors and a solid understanding of fundamental networking principles.
  • Proven success in managing relationships and projects with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) across diverse geographical regions.
  • Extensive experience in comprehensive vendor management, from initial quoting and selection through delivery, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
  • A willingness to travel, including internationally, several times throughout the build cycle to new sites.

Nice to Haves:

  • Direct experience with Juniper and/or Mist networking solutions.
  • A strong understanding of mid-level networking fundamentals.
  • Practical, hands-on experience with rack and stack procedures and the cabling of network equipment.
