What is the role?
We are currently hiringan Investor Relations Associate to work within Digital Currency Group's newest subsidiary. The new subsidiary remains in stealth mode, but will be working with the world’s leading crypto, blockchain, andDeFientrepreneurs and investors.
We are a hyper growth organization looking for a detail-oriented and passionate individual to work directly with the Venture Capital/Private Investments team to support our global pool of investors and oversee all initiatives associated with new investors/capital. This person will be an integral part of the Investor Relations team and will be responsible for serving a global client base, managing various projects simultaneously, overseeing all industry/competitor research as it pertains to DCG and its operating businesses and assisting with business development efforts as requested. This position suits an individual who can combine the more technical aspects of the investment industry with exceptional communication/client-facing skills. The position requires a high degree of initiative, analytical rigor and a strong attention to detail.
What you will be responsible for:
- Leading investor meetings driving AUM onto our platform and coordinating timely follow-ups
- Developing a deep understanding of the firm’s full investment capabilities and monitoring portfolio company developments in order to effectively communicate with investors
- Responding to ad hoc inquiries from investors
- Ensuring that all existing and new investors’ needs are consistently met and strive to exceed investors’ expectations
- Supporting and maintaining worksheets and portfolio databases, including investor CRM system (Salesforce), to track fundraising progress and investor communications
- Preparing management team for conference and event attendance - ensuring our network as well as opportunities to expand our network are taken into account
- Ensuring investor presentations are up to date and provided prior to meetings
- Gathering information on investors in funds managed by the firm
- Analyzing various sets of market and financial data regarding key trends on behalf of, or in service of our investor base
- Developing an understanding and mapping our various portfolio company and DCG subsidiary business models
- Assisting in managing investor reporting process and drafting of quarterly and annual reports, including newsletters and portfolio company case studies
- Conducting market research and performance benchmarking research and analysis
- Tracking investment and operating performance against targets and relative to macro and benchmark assumptions
- Being the primary point of contact to stay up to date on all market-driving developments, news, media, events and fundraising
- Assisting in the development of financial and non-financial periodic reporting templates to investors
- Creating ad hoc and recurring marketing materials for leadership road shows, investor meetings, diligence processes, etc.
What we expect:
Expertise in service
- 3+ years of experience, in financial services, crypto/blockchain, private equity or venture capital
- Client facing experience
- Ability to self-manage priorities between recurring tasks and ad hoc requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding of the critical nature of delivering best-in-class client service
- Flexibility to interact with a diverse set of stakeholders globally
- Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with different stakeholders across an organization
- Extensive MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting experience
- Prior investor relations, crypto research, equity research, investment banking experience is a plus
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) is a plus
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
