Web3 Market Risk Director

Who We Are

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensure market and liquidity risks are properly calculated, reported, and managed within admissible limits.
• Ensure development/ maintenance of market and liquidity risk models in order to adapt to changing internal/external environment
• Independently review and challenge institutional trading desk activities
• Build reporting to the Global Management Risk Committee and CRO of the market and liquidity risk position of the group and propose actions as necessary according to the RAS
• Manage market and liquidity risk specific regulatory dialogue, including Limits Framework, VaR and Margin Methodology, Liquidity and Regulatory Capital
• Ensure global consistency of policies, procedures, analysis, monitoring and reporting of market and trading risk, liquidity risk
• Analyze market risk product and model risk as part of the New/Complex Product Approval Process, limit approval authority and reporting of market and trading risk.
• Provide leadership and development of the Market and Liquidity Risk team globally
• Collaborate with the 1st line risk team to ensure efficiencies of processes;
• Innovate market, trading and liquidity risk management capabilities

What We Look For In You

• Graduate degree (Master’s and above) in Economics, Math, Statistics, Finance or Physics
• 15+ years of experience
• Ideally programming experience in Microsoft Excel/VBA and Python
• Extensive knowledge of trading book risk (market risk, counterparty risk, margin)
• Thorough understanding of crypto market structure including futures and options
• Prior experience and interaction with Global regulators including in USA
• A quantitative specialist, with hands-on skills in data analysis, manipulation and development of prototype risk reports
• Solid academic background, including a postgraduate qualification
• Strong people skills demonstrated across various communication >
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, effectively communicate and represent the team in meetings with regulators and senior management
• Leadership, management, product knowledge and trading or quantitative skills are necessary.
• Incumbents typically have significant experience of market risk management or trading.
• Effective team player, strong intellectual curiosity, excellent problem-solving skills
• Highly motivated with the drive and potential to learn from others and has a practical mindset
