The Role - What will you be doing?
Along side supporting the head of Enterprise Wide Risk you will be responsible for managing BCB’s global critical outsourcing arrangements both with 3rd parties and within the group . Alond side broader risk framework management and reporting duties, the role will cover outsourcing end-to-end from vendor due diligence to performance monitoring through to exit planning and management. It is a critical role to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for our group’s regulated payment entities around the world, notably including the EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing Arrangements and the UK FCA’s SYSC 8 requirements.
The ideal candidate will need to be an independent, high-achieving individual, able to stand out in an entrepreneurial environment and outperform performance targets through personal drive.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Overseeing due diligence for new and existing outsourcing, both with 3rd parties and intra-group
- Setting the policy and procedures for outsourcing management for the group
- Supporting the identification of critical/important/material outsourcing and implementing arrangements accordingly
- Maintaining a robust inventory of outsourced services
- Establishing appropriate monitoring of relationships with outsourced providers, including setting and monitoring SLAs for outsourced services
- Inputting into relevant business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Supporting incident management and ensuring prompt and compliant communication to regulators
- Ensuring regulated group companies have sufficient access to performance MI
- Resolving regulatory requests related to outsourcing
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate exit plans for critical outsourced providers
- Ensuring overall compliance with outsourcing regulations applicable to checkout.com regulated entities
So, what are we looking for?
If you can demonstrate some of the following experience/skills below, we would love to have a conversation.
- 3 years of experience within a risk management role
- Experience working in a regulated financial services environment
- Very well-versed in compliance and regulatory requirements for outsourcing, ideally in Financial Services, with respect to both intra-group and external third party arrangements
- Experience in operational, strategic and financial risk and/or business continuity would be beneficial
- Commercially-minded and pragmatic, driving to deliver positive outcomes for the group
- Ability to influence senior internal stakeholders to ensure service quality is maintained and issues are resolved effectively
- Ability to communicate to legal entity boards and provide responses to regulators, as required
- Highly organised and able to prioritise shifting workloads and responsibilities effectively
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
