About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Paralegal with prior in-house experience who will be able to facilitate contract review, document management and keeping the APAC legal team updated on changes in legal, compliance and regulatory regimes across multiple jurisdictions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Drafting and reviewing template contracts, documentation, letters and other legal documents
  • Providing ad-hoc support to stakeholders in relation to our in-house contract management, including identifying and remedying user errors, updating templates
  • Conducting research and preparing reports on the rapidly developing legal, compliance and regulatory regimes relating to digital assets in different APAC jurisdictions
  • Facilitating due diligence requests and questions
  • Organising and archiving documents related to completed and ongoing projects in an electronic filing system
  • Organising meetings with business stakeholders and keeping track of project timelines

What We Look For In You

  • 3+ years of prior in-house experience as a legal executive, paralegal or legal manager, experience within the blockchain or fintech space is preferred
  • Incredible attention to detail and nuance, able to dive deep into complex contractual structures while maintaining a broader view of the context in which those agreements live
  • Able to adapt to embrace changes, and cope with fast changing business needs
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, effectively manage time-sensitive documents and prioritize workload
  • Good organizational skills and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) to communicate with stakeholders
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel

Nice to Haves:

  • Law degree or JD, or relevant legal and compliance experience in an in house environment would be an advantage
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and understand business needs
