Web3 Research Scientist GIS

Compensation: $54k - $73k estimated

Research Scientist GIS work with a talented team of engineers, architects, and researchers from various fields to build out Findora.

Designing digital mapping and geospatial data sharing algorithm to pair with Findora blockchain native financial data source. Producing maps showing the geospatial distribution of various kinds of data, including our financial partners information. Produce reports on geographic data utilizing data visualizations. Working with the cryptography researchers, research efficient constructions of zero-knowledge proofs and other cryptographic tools to maintain privacy, integrity and immutability of trusted location based (GIS) information collected through various sensor systems from logistics and supply chain industries. Represent Findora at conferences and relevant industry events Build the underlying core Findora infrastructure, a state-of-the-art distributed system primarily implemented in Rust Evaluate emerging cryptography practices and research and apply them to our platform    Required Skills:   Meaningful information science and software development experience with awareness of engineering and security best practices Software development for enterprise consumers Distributed systems, relational databases, and spatial database in a production environment Experience with mapping tools such as QGIS and ArcGIS Pro. Python and R programming skill. Designing and implementing scalable and high-performance platforms Proficiency with front end design languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and various mapping languages.
