Our Crypto team is dedicated to building and expanding our cryptocurrency offerings, making crypto accessible and understandable for everyone. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Partnerships Leader to drive strategic partnerships within the rapidly evolving crypto ecosystem.
As the Partnerships Director for our Crypto team, you will be an individual contributor playing a pivotal role in identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with key partners in the crypto space. You will work closely with our engineering, product, and compliance teams to launch new partnerships and optimize existing ones, driving growth and innovation.
This role is based in our New York, NY or Menlo Park, CA office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do
- Identify, explore, and evaluate new partnership opportunities within the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, continuously developing and nurturing relationships with established and emerging players.
- Lead contract negotiations with potential partners, ensuring favorable commercial, legal, security, and privacy terms, always prioritizing user interests and regulatory compliance.
- Manage product integrations and onboarding of new crypto partners, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Design, Research, Engineering, and Compliance teams.
- Assume day-to-day ownership of existing partnerships with strategic partners in the crypto space (exchanges, custodians, blockchain protocols, DeFi platforms, etc.).
- Work closely with the product teams to understand partnership needs and how these partners can accelerate projects on our crypto roadmap.
- Identify and implement initiatives with strategic partners that align with team OKRs, focusing on operational efficiency, economic improvements, and product enhancements specific to crypto offerings.
- Lead strategic projects and perform in-depth analysis to drive key decisions for the crypto team.
- Stay current with the latest developments and trends in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, or other relevant field.
- 7+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategy, with a significant focus on the cryptocurrency or blockchain industry.
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency markets, and the broader crypto ecosystem.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Strong network and established relationships within the crypto industry.
- Resourceful, persistent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and sometimes uncertain environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and prioritize key initiatives and operational tasks in the context of crypto.
- Strong analytical abilities and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and blockchain analytics tools.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in the rapidly changing crypto landscape.
- Exceptional written and communication skills, particularly in explaining complex crypto concepts.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones.
