Web3 RESEARCHER

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mechanism/auction design research efforts at Skip, particularly around combinatorial and asynchronous auction design, to build multi-chain MEV protocols
• Collaborate with Interchain Foundation, Informal Systems, Celestia, and other blockchain R&D organizations to develop interchain MEV protocols
• Stay close to Skip’s product needs and leverage your research results to advance them
• Publish research findings and papers to advance public understanding of cross-domain MEV and auction mechanism design

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Track record of novel research contributions to the fields of economics and/or computer science related in mechanism design, auction theory, game theory
• Interest in blockchains, defi, and decentralized markets
• History of collaborating with engineers to prototype to test research findings in live systems

Bonus

• Code, specification, or research contributions to DeFi protocols, blockchain clients, or related infrastructure
• Familiarity with MEV
