Web3 Senior Accountant

What you will do:

• Define the CoinList experience. CoinList has developed a successful suite of trading and lending products. You’ll assist with the accounting of these items on a monthly basis.
• Be an accounting expert. You’ll be a trusted advisor and help lead our month-end close process with the rest of our accounting team. You’ll help prepare workpapers, narratives, and technical accounting memos for internal and audit purposes.
• Innovate on our financial products. You’ll leverage your expertise to help identify other financial processes and how to best implement them towards existing and future processes and implementations.
• Lead and scale. As a member of our core team, you’ll take it upon yourself to identify opportunities for CoinList, get buy-in internally, and execute. CoinList is an incredibly entrepreneurial environment and we want people who will take advantage of this.

Who you are:

• You’re an accounting expert. You’ve been an accountant at a public accounting firm or public or private company. You have experience with month-end close, accounting guidance, and audits (preferred).

• You’re plugged into cryptocurrency markets. You are familiar with cryptocurrency and the ecosystem and recent accounting developments in this industry.

• You can execute. You are ready to get your hands dirty. You’ll hit deadlines and deliverables. You’ll step up to put out fires when they (inevitably) pop up.
• You deal well with pressure. CoinList has multiple deadlines and you will help assist getting these projects across the finish line in a timely manner. You thrive under high pressure situations like this and enjoy keeping others calm, on task, and on track.

Job-Specific:

The Senior Accountant will help the accounting team with various month-end close, audit, and, process improvement tasks, including:

Senior Accountant

• Month-end close
• Preparation of workpapers for digital assets (including staking and lending), revenue, expenses, and other areas
• Review of workpapers for all entities, including intercompany activity
• Audit
• Assist with the audit through preparation of supporting documentation, narratives, and technical accounting memos
• Develop over time to take a larger role in helping lead the audits

• Process improvement
• Assist with the development and maintenance of new reconciliations and processes

Experience

• 1-2 years experience with month-end close
• 1-2 years experience with audits (preferred)
• CPA (preferred)
• 4-year Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar degree
