Everledger is hiring a
Senior Blockchain Engineer - Brisbane

Compensation: $11k - $56k estimated

Location: Queensland Brisbane Australia

At Everledger, we are committed to making the world a better place. Our purpose is to contribute to greater transparency, trust, sustainability as well as amazing customer experiences in marketplaces where provenance matters most.

This is a key role that will assist our global team in the creation of an Australian critical minerals blockchain pilot. The blockchain pilot will investigate how blockchain technology can be used to create a ‘digital certification’ for critical minerals throughout the extraction and movement phases. This will help companies in the sector to ensure adherence to compliance regulations and increase the demand for Australian products in global markets, while also simplifying the process and lowering costs.

The related problem to be solved by this project is that the race for rare earths and critical minerals is “on” and in high demand as they are the essential building blocks for clean energy technologies of the future. Today’s electric vehicle batteries, electronics batteries, wind turbines, charging stations, solar panels, and transmission lines cannot be built without copper, lithium, nickel or cobalt, and other critical minerals. And this blockchain pilot has the potential to provide solutions to regulators, OEMs, and manufacturers.

This exciting blockchain pilot will strengthen domestic mineral supply chains, reduce the reliance on foreign minerals, and minimize carbon emissions. The pilot will be conducted across Australia with key partners such as CSIRO and Data61 and coordinated from Everledger’s Brisbane base. We ideally want you to be full-time/permanently based in our Brisbane office, though, we're very open to having someone work remotely, and or on a Fixed Term Contract

Specifically, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Blockchain Engineer to join our Blockchain engineering team as we continue to build our market-leading platform offering supply chain transparency and product authenticity with amazing customer experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams leveraging your technical background to go from ideation to product development. You will play a key role in helping shape the way transformational technology is introduced to industries and customers. With a curious mind and eagerness to learn and a passion for building solutions based on decentralized identity and ledger technology, you will be responsible for designing and developing disruptive solutions to add to our Platform, creating trackable digital identities for physical objects, and writing smart contracts.
