📌 Cloud Engineer – Observability & Datadog SME (Full-Time, Hybrid) We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer with prior experience in observability to join us in the Digital Ops team. The team designs, deploys and operates 150+ cloud services to increase the adoption of digital technologies internally and with our customers. As the focus areas of this role is observability you will need to possess comprehensive knowledge of concepts of observability and practical experience in Datadog. Additionally, we expect you to have knowledge of Azure cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD. You will be working closely with cross-functional development teams using agile methodologies and tools.

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing
Own the observability parts of the cloud architecture and production operations of our digital cloud services spanning multiple continents. Define ways of working, runbooks, and training materials. Be the subject matter expert on observability - Operate and leverage our observability platform to monitor and alert on operational issues. Work in a hybrid team of highly skilled DevOps/SRE engineers and cross-functional development teams. As a member of an Agile team, attend all sprint ceremonies, estimate and track work items promptly and accurately. Support development teams in the setup, release, and operations of services in non-production and production environments. Document DevOps processes and write runbooks. Identify and implement new ways of working with the focus on automation and reducing unnecessary and repetitive work. Be on-call to triage and resolve production incidents, escalate incidents to other tiers, act as incident commander, and run post-mortems. Set, meet and report on targets for operational excellence, performance, reliability, security and costs.
✅ What You Need to Succeed Must-haves
2+ years of experience in Datadog products including configuration and cost management. 3+ years hands-on experience in a DevOps/SRE role. Practical experience in Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, Datadog, Docker. Practical experience in the following technologies is preferred but not mandatory: ArgoCD, CI/CD w/Azure DevOps, Databricks, SQL. Proven experience in operating and managing a customer-facing cloud solutions involving observability, 24x7 support, performance and cost optimizations, tracking and meeting SLAs. Experience in working in remote teams independently, ready to speak up and ask for help, and able to follow processes to track work and complete tasks. Hands-on development experience in evaluating and building DevOps/SRE tooling (e.g. automation) to remove toil. Relevant industry certifications (e.g. ITIL, Cloud architecture) are a great asset.
