Web3 Senior Software Engineer - Economy Systems

A bit about the role: 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will report to the Head of Technology where you will lead the charge in creating and building our central technology platform for operating in-game economy systems across all of our games. This will ensure the systems are performant, reliable, scalable and secure yet flexible and easy for game teams to create various economy mechanics in a self-serve manner.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Collaborate with our Immutable X platform team to standardise integrations.
• Create purchase + reward flows for digital assets (NFTs + Tokens).
• Build a platform that is highly scalable, reliable and secure.
• Ensure systems are flexible yet easy for our games teams to create economy mechanics in a self-serving manner.
• Build and create visibility over the right level of analytics on value transformers happening in the system.

We would love you to have:

• 6 - 8 years of software engineering experience.
• Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices such as Clean Code / SOLID principles.
• The motivation to deliver a fantastic product to our users.
• A passion for upskilling and driving engineering capabilities.
• The ability to work comfortably across a range of technologies and are flexible to adapt to the shifting demands of the role.
• Previously worked in a scale/start-up environment.

Tech Stack:

• Go 
• PostgreSQL / MySQL / NoSQL / MongoDB
• AWS Lambda

Some extra skills that would be awesome:

• Experience building highly scalable and secure backends for games.
• Experience in Web3 technologies such as Solidity / Truffle / EtherJs / Web3JS

You will sit within the Studio Engineering team where you help to build out high visibility solutions to complex problems that will impact user experience and allow for incredible tools to be developed for your fellow Engineers and Game Developers to utilise. You will be a part of history as the team continues to disrupt and build out the ever-growing play-and-earn function of the gaming industry providing real digital ownership through NFTs on Ethereum giving control back to the players.
