Ripple is hiring a Web3 Sr. Staff User Research
Compensation: $70k - $100k estimated

Ripple is transforming the world of finance with innovative crypto solutions that increase access to financial services to people around the world. As a Senior Staff User Researcher, you’ll be leading research for our enterprise liquidity solutions as well as laying important groundwork for Ripple’s user research practices and processes. This an exciting opportunity to inform the design and development of groundbreaking new products with valuable user insights. We are looking for an experienced researcher who has well-honed leadership skills and is ready to roll up their sleeves in tackling challenging research problems for our fast-growing company.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Creatively apply user research techniques to generate new insights for existing and potential customers in several market segments
- Perform generative research, design concept validation, and internal data-driven analysis, leading to tangible product roadmap and design recommendations
- Partner closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and other team members to plan and gather qualitative and quantitative data for Ripple products, ensuring team engagement throughout the process
- Deliver compelling research presentations and reports that are accessible and informative
- Develop and evolve user personas that help team members across the company align and make better decisions
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to surface internal user hypotheses, increase knowledge sharing, and spread user empathy
- Map user journeys and collaborative models within Ripple’s customer organizations
- Lead the definition and evolution of user research processes, methods, practices, and tools for Ripple as a whole
- Grow Ripple’s database of high-quality user research participants, leveraging existing user recruitment vendors and recommending new ones as needed
- Solidify Ripple as a thought leader in the crypto space by developing internal expertise on user behaviors and mentalities around cryptocurrency
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 10+ years of experience of performing user research for a variety of tech products, including those used at large Enterprises with complex user ecosystems
- A portfolio or set of case studies that demonstrates your direct influence on product strategy, including specific business problems, your research approach, and the outcomes/results
- A comprehensive research toolbox and a flexible approach to applying research methods to filling gaps as they emerge
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated with a bias toward action and ability to independently plan, scope, prioritize and schedule research projects
- Empathetic and curious; a great listener with an uncanny ability to disarm people and learn unknown facts about them
- Excellent verbal and written communicator; values over-communication while collaborating with remote coworkers located in different time zones
- Can inspire and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, delivering the right fidelity of information to the right audience
- A global perspective and a commitment to diversity and representation, with experience performing research in different parts of the world
- A strong vision for how to effectively scale user research practices and processes for an organization
- Experienced in collaborating closely with product designers and Agile engineering teams, taking in input on knowledge gaps and product improvement areas
Preferred, but not required
- Experience in research for the usage of API’s in technical integration
