IT System Administrator (remote)
Bitcoin Depot is seeking a System Administrator to fill a multiple function role with a primary focus to maintain and administer our company’s network system of computers and a secondary focus on user administration, desktop security policies and light desktop support. The primary responsibility will be troubleshooting software, networking and security issues in AWS infrastructure as well as ensuring that all systems securely run with optimal performance.
You should have an excellent ability to solve problems using your in-depth knowledge of information systems and computers in a cloud setting. You should be a team player and willing to handle support requests with courtesy and professionalism.

Responsibilities
Maintain, monitor and manage Bitcoin Depot production, development and staging servers in AWS, monitor and manage backup services, along with assisting and onboarding of new users, removing users/credentials and light desktop support.
Technical Qualifications:
- Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications
- Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise
- Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely
- Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the networked computer system
- Providing technical support when requested
- Documenting any processes which employees need to follow in order to successfully work within company systems
- Sustaining network integrity, server deployment, and security and patching OS for security vulnerability
- Familiarity with configuring SSO, VPN, MFA and MDM
- Working with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
Qualifications
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Systems or Information Technology
- 2+ years administering server-side technology, networked computing systems and cloud computing (AWS, Azure and Google)
- AWS Sys Ops or Solution Architect associate Certification
- Experience working with ECS clusters and containers
- Experience working Linux and Windows operating systems
- Knowledge in Virtualization Technologies and Scripting Languages is a plus
- AD administration and user administration system (onboarding/offboarding)
- Familiarity with database operations
- Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines
- Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Patient and professional demeanor, with a can-do attitude
- Experience administering and configuring SSO, MFA, VPN and MDM.
