Web3 Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager

OpenSea is seeking a seasoned Technical Accounting & Reporting Manager who enjoys operating in a high-growth environment to help solve technical accounting issues for emerging significant, non-routine, and unique transactions. Reporting into the Director of Technical Accounting & Reporting, you will be responsible for understanding the finer details of proposed or executed transactions through review of contracts and agreements, focusing on accounting risk assessment and collaboration with key cross-functional business partners. You will be a key Finance partner to cross-functional teams supporting OpenSea’s core business and strategic investments and you will be able to effectively communicate complex accounting issues to business partners, ensuring that relevant accounting issues are identified, resolved and documented. You will also embrace ambiguity and our high velocity culture by prioritizing responsibilities based on impact and transition well between various accounting topics, which may include areas such as: digital items, strategic investments, revenue, tax, business combinations and consolidation, commitments, derivatives, financial instruments, fair value measurements, impairment, and reporting. Additionally, you will work alongside the broader Accounting team to assist and be responsible for the preparation and review of our financial reporting documents.
