At Breeze, weโ€™re building the modern infrastructure for earning yield on digital assets โ€” a seamless, non-custodial platform integrated directly into the apps users already love.

Our philosophy is simple: build fast, validate quickly, double down on the things users love, and kill the ones that donโ€™t deserve to live.

You are the right candidate if you care deeply about users, enjoy working close to metal on chain-level systems, and love getting scrappy to build 0โ†’1. At Breeze, the backend is the product โ€” from our risk engine and fund accounting to our Solana programs powering seamless, non-custodial yield.

What youโ€™ll do

  • Design and implement Solana smart contracts in Rust for our core yield platform, managing funds, shares, and on-chain routing logic.

  • Extend and maintain backend systems โ€” indexers, risk engines, and real-time fund analytics โ€” ensuring they are performant and reliable at scale.

  • Work across the stack to integrate backend logic with our API and SDKs, surfacing clean interfaces to frontend developers and integration partners.

  • Push our product experiments forward by quickly validating ideas and iterating based on user and partner feedback.

  • Collaborate with fullstack engineers and product teams to deliver a world-class developer and user experience.

Requirements

  • Humble and hungry senior-level engineer with 5+ years of experience and exceptional technical skills in your domain.

  • Deep experience building and shipping Rust-based smart contracts on Solana.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead medium-to-large scope backend and protocol engineering projects.

  • Strong understanding of DeFi primitives (staking, lending, AMMs) and experience building crypto products.

  • Proven track record of delivering in fast-paced, iterative environments and finding product-market fit.

Comfort working across engineering domains and thinking about the full product experience.
