Exciting opportunity to join the growing in-house legal team at CLO Virtual Fashion, a global tech company pioneering 3D garment simulation technology in the apparel industry and computer graphics industries (i.e. animation, game, VFX). Our legal team is a global yet close-knit group which consists of individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds.
We are looking for an attorney with sound legal and business judgment as well as eagerness to learn and collaborate who can thrive in our dynamic, agile and user focused culture.
Responsibilities
- Pioneer and lead in building legal foundation and industry policies around digital contents used in fashion, computer graphics and other related industries.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial enterprise agreements including but not limited to, software licensing and service agreements, SaaS/cloud-based service terms and policies, NDAs, and DPAs.
- Lead or support external client communications as well as actively engage in the communications with business development teams and other internal stakeholders in an agile manner.
- Advise on legal implications of business operations, including adoption of new workflows, the legality of new product lines and services, employment, security and other compliance matters for a fast growing tech company.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy/data protection laws (such as GDPR and CCPA) and monitor the company's data processing procedures.
- Work and collaborate within an international team over multiple time zones.
- Advise on and manage legal structures, due diligence and documentation for corporate development activity including IPO, M&A, investments, and other corporate partnerships.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- New York bar admission in good standing
- Proven experience in M&A and corporate finance
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably as an in-house at a tech company or practicing corporate law at a leading law firm
- A strong passion for technology such as metaverse, blockchain, or digital assets, preferably having experience in a tech company. Able to effectively interact with, influence and collaborate with other members of the organization.
Plus if you have
- Fluency in Korean or other languages
- Experience in data privacy, software licensing, or corporate finance, preferably in an international setting.
