About Sobol

We are Sobol, an organization within ConsenSys Mesh building a software platform that enables team self-organization by delivering a beautiful Web2 experience powered up with Web3 technologies. A large portion of our customers are DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) with thousands of active users.

Our platform is designed to support third party application development (think application market places such as Github and Slack). We have a small but talented team that is focused on building the core product. We offer a very unique learning experience building a large scale system and getting exposure to software architecture and design. Our team has decades of experience building quality software in a variety of tech stacks, and we are happy to mentor our newest members.

This is a remote opportunity, where you can work from any location within the US or Canada. We are a fully remote team, and have been working remotely since 2017.

Please note that this role does not require prior blockchain development experience. The primary focus of this role is Full Stack JavaScript development.

Tech Stack:

• Front-end: React, Redux, Antd, d3, pixi.js
• Back-end: Node, Express, socket.io, Neo4J, Mongo, redis
• Infrastructure: AWS, docker, nginx, DataDog, Sentry
• Integrations: Web3 Identity (Wallets and DIDs), Gnosis, Snapshot, Discord

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of features in a full JavaScript stack
• Participate in and/or lead technical project designs
• Be self directed and driven with minimal input
• Constantly challenge yourself and others to push the boundaries of software quality and innovation
• Ensure amazing user experience and take pride in your work
• Solve technically difficult problems and build solutions that scale
• Be a key player on an amazing team where you get to wear multiple hats

Qualifications

• True, demonstrated passion for software development
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript and web technologies
• Burning need to deliver value quickly, but also care about the quality of the code
• Experience working with React or similar front-end frameworks
• A desire to build a product that people love to use
• A portfolio of samples of work you are particularly proud of
• A track record of continuous learning and experimentation
