đŻ About Metrix Finance
Metrix Finance is building an all-in-one DeFi strategy hub where you can find opportunities, backtest strategies, and automatically track your positions in real-time. We're not another DeFi dashboard - we're building the control center for serious on-chain investors.
Our parent company, Luminary Assets LLC, exists to democratize DeFi. We got wrecked like everyone else, figured out what actually works, and built the tools we wish existed. Now we're making them available to anyone tired of spreadsheets and guesswork.
đ The Mission
Most people fail at DeFi because they lack proper tools and knowledge - not because they're incapable. We're closing that gap by building software that solves real problems: health ratio tracking, capital allocation optimization, yield monitoring across protocols, and data-driven decision making.
đź What You'll Do
- Ship bug fixes and performance improvements across the full stack
- Build features end-to-end from database to UI
- Integrate new DeFi protocols for position tracking and simulations
- Design data retrieval solutions using subgraphs, APIs, and RPC nodes
- Implement UI/UX improvements that make complex DeFi simple
- Collaborate daily with senior engineers and participate in code reviews
- Share progress updates and contribute to architecture decisions
â Requirements
We're looking to work with problem solvers & solution seekers, not those that will wait to be assigned tasks.
Must Have
- Intermediate proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
- Experience with Web3 libraries (Ethers.js, Web3.js, or Viem)
- Full-stack capability with Next.js and Tailwind CSS
- Database experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma
- Ability to work with Web3 data sources (APIs, RPC nodes, subgraphs)
- Strong communication skills and self-direction
Nice to Have
- Smart contract development (EVM or Solana)
- Subgraph building experience
- Active participation in DeFi (you actually use the protocols)
- Strong math or technical background
- Understanding of caching patterns and application architecture
- Experience with wagmi hooks
đĽ Who We're Actually Looking For
We're not hunting for the perfect resume. We want non-traditional developers who value building something meaningful over collecting a paycheck.
Startup culture means:
- You own problems, not just tickets
- Your work ships fast and matters immediately
- You learn by doing, not waiting for permission
- You work hard because you care about the outcome
If you'd rather grind on something you're proud of than coast at a comfortable corporate job, you'll fit here. If you need constant management and hand-holding, you won't.
đ° What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience and skill level
- Full-time position: ~40 hours/week, Monday-Friday
- Paid weekend overtime available for those who want it
- Real learning: We'll teach you subgraphs, substreams, and advanced Web3 data pipelines
- Actual impact: Your code serves real investors making real financial decisions
- Flat hierarchy: Speak up, share opinions, no corporate politics
đŤ You Shouldn't Apply If
- You want a cushy 9-5 where you coast
- You can't handle direct feedback or creative criticism
- You need your hand held through every task
- You want to juggle multiple freelance clients on the side
- You think startups are just for the resume flex
What does a full stack developer in web3 do?
A full stack web3 developer is a developer who has expertise in the full stack of technologies that are used to build web3 applications
These applications use the decentralized, distributed nature of the web3 network to provide users with a secure and decentralized way of accessing and interacting with online services and applications. The responsibilities of a full stack web3 developer will vary depending on the specific project and the needs of the team they are working with
In general, though, a full stack web3 developer will be responsible for: designing and building the front-end and back-end of web3 applications, as well as implementing and maintaining the underlying blockchain infrastructure
This will often involve working with a variety of different technologies and programming languages, such as Solidity for smart contract development, JavaScript and HTML for front-end development, and various blockchain protocols and frameworks. Additionally, a full stack web3 developer may also be responsible for working with the web3 community to help drive adoption and integration of web3 technologies, as well as staying up-to-date on the latest developments in the field and contributing to the broader web3 ecosystem.
