We are looking to expand our growing People Team at DFINITY with a representative for Asia. The People Team has the responsibility to grow and support the company, guide portions of the project's development and positively contribute to the culture. We are looking for someone interested in being part of the leading project building Web 3.0.
For this role we are looking to add an HR and Recruiting Generalist, focused on HR Ops & Recruiting to support our new site in Shanghai. With our rapid expansion plans in the region, we expect this role to have tremendous growth opportunities.
You’ll be working on our internal HR systems and working closely with Senior Leadership and a growing People team to ensure incoming and existing employees’ experiences seamless as they onboard, transfer teams, or relocate. You’ll be utilizing our existing People systems and seeking ways to continuously streamline/optimize how we work.
You will provide administrative support for all recruiting activities and develop effective relationships with candidates, the team and all DFINITY employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish working relationships with hiring managers and candidates, schedule interviews, communicate interview details and host interview visits
- Create and ensure delivery of candidate offer letters and new hire paperwork, receive and track new hire materials, and update and maintain appropriate databases
- Manage internal and external job postings
- Coordinate candidate travel when needed
- Manage complex schedules while being able to deal with last minute changes on the fly
- Provide general administrative support to the Recruiting team
- Adhere to the highest degree of professionalism and strict confidentiality on matters that require discretion
- Assist in the maintenance and implementation of systems across the People team. We are very much in ‘build and scale mode’ versus ‘maintain and refine mode.’
- Be the benefits specialist for China & Asia: Run benefits audits & benchmarks and make suggestions on what to implement for our Asian employees
- Be the point of contact for payroll in China. Collaborate closely with our payroll provider and ensure correctness of data on a monthly basis
- Run various, regular, and ad-hoc reports for People Ops partners, compensation, benefits, recruiting, and leadership (including headcount reports, demographic reports, diversity reports, etc.)
- Assist employees by being the POC for all Asia-based employees (e.g.responding to employment verifications, registration questions and a multitude of other people-related data requests)
- Create and maintain employee files, track annual trainings, review candidate documentation and manage background and credit checks
- Proactively look for process improvements and automation to assist the People Ops team scale
- Be willing to work with a small team on various company wide projects that will arise to help make DFINITY a premier destination for top talent
Requirements
- 3+ years of HR operations experience, ideally in global, fast-paced, high growth environment
- A background working in international environments (our current hubs are in Zurich, Switzerland, Bay Area, California, and Shanghai and we have staff from around the globe).
- Written and verbal fluency in English and Mandarin
- Experience with various HR systems (vendor agnostic) and excellent Google Docs/Excel skills
- A clear, approachable, and friendly communication >
- A mind for detail—you are detail-oriented and have patience to audit and dive deep into employee data to determine patterns and check for inaccuracies
- Experience with project coordination, admin experience in a fast-paced customer-focused environment, while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Discretion and judgment handling confidential and sensitive data
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment
- A healthy balance of heads down work ethic and sense of humor
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or the sciences preferred
