What we’re looking for

We are looking for a Quantitative Macroeconomic Analyst to conduct ongoing research into traditional and non-traditional asset markets in order to identify strong investment opportunities for our portfolio.

To be an ideal candidate, you should enjoy diving into research and be equally comfortable presenting the results of your analysis with an appropriate balance of summary and detail to inform stakeholders. You should also be able to support your analysis with research methods and assumptions.

What You Will Do

• Research options pricing across multiple brokerages.
• Research and locate options chains for potential trades.
• Use major trading platforms including Td Ameritrade Thinkorswim, Interactive brokers, and other well known trading platforms.
• Utilize forums, news sources, and a variety of other channels to gain market insights and identify trade opportunities.

Essential Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial experience conducting fundamental macroeconomic, market, and or equity research & analysis.
• Exceptional quantitative and analytical research skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• While not required, a degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Finance is ideal.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial mathematics and portfolio concepts.
• Detailed knowledge of fixed-income markets and instruments.
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively and solve problems creatively.
• Must be located in a country where cryptocurrency is legal.
• Desire to learn the cryptocurrency ecosystem (coins, tokens, exchanges).
• Background in Bonds, Market Analytics, Strong in Futures & Options, Gamma, Delta etc.
• Ability to describe economic trends in writing.
• Familiarity with writing programs in an econometric package such as STATA, R, SAS, or EVIEWS.
• Self-driven with the ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Fluent English communicator.
• Passionate and up-to-date on the rapidly changing world of blockchain technology.
• Values aligned with the Energi culture and values.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a distributed/remote team
• Experience working for a cryptocurrency project or fund
