I. Job Role & Requirements

*This position is responsible for: *

• Planning hiring requirements for the project and being involved in end-end execution for the requirements right from sourcing requirements across networks/platforms.
• Creating Job Descriptions for different roles in discussion with VPs and stakeholders who you’re hiring for.
• Devising the recruitment strategies and executing the same to meet the manpower requirements.
• Working on Finance/Salaries and Payroll w/ Finance team
• Managing and coordinating travel / accommodation / administrative requirements of team members traveling for events globally
• Managing 360-degree employee feedback, 1-1 employee counseling as required, being involved in performance management and performance enhancement cycles
• Being involved in and facilitating employee Induction, Probation, Confirmation and performance reviews from time to time
• Looking after end-to-end employee life cycle activities handling grievances / challenges

Ideal Background and Skillsets required from the candidate:

• 3-4 years of HR Management & Hiring across tech/web startups for different roles.
• Experience in hiring Tech (Web2/Web3) candidates across development/programming
• Good to have if worked in tech / ecommerce and or web3 startups.
• Location doesn’t matter. Good if you have international/global hiring experience.
• Decent understanding of tech/web new trends (Bonus if you’re adept with the Web3 ecosystem and how it functions
• Good to have if you’ve knowledge of various tech and productivity tools like Slack, Basecamp, HRMS tools for lifecycle management
• A diverse experience across HR/Hiring/Admin operations would be a plus


II. KEY RESULT AREAS

Recruitment – Work on recruitment strategies both inbound (via references, company website, job-boards, internal promotions) and outbound (via consultants, portals). Executing the plans to ensure the teams are adequately staffed

Manpower planning - Determining manpower requirements and identifying channels and means for meeting the stated requirements along with the Founders & VPs for executing the integrated future plans of the project

Team Building - Responsible for the wellbeing and morale of the project. Ensure teams are optimally utilizing their time, do check ins with teams especially during their probation, induction, first few weeks of joining. And then maybe Monthly Open Houses to check for any challenges they face from work front to improve inter-team and intra- team co-ordination and thereby strengthen the bond. Plan and ensure the teams actively participate in activities conducted by the project

Induction and Onboarding

  • Responsible for preparing the offer and appointment letter /contract and rolling out the same timely. Work with our finance consultants to do so.
  • Document collection and verification of the same (If required)
  • Maintaining employee records up-to-date.
  • Designing a structured induction process and seamless execution of the same to ensure the new employee adapts to the new role and environment as soon as possible
  • Creating email ID for the new employee and addition to the biometric as well as to the company groups on social media

Attendance and Time-Off Management

  • Tracking Team Time offs of people on a broader level to get an understanding of overall performance/mapping of employees.

Training and Development

  • Preparing the monthly training calendar as per the need of the teams and ensuring the same is carried out as per the plan. Work with VPs to facilitate the trainings and communicate w/ teams/ get VPs to do so.

Grievance management

  • Keep a track of grievances voiced by the employees and ensuring appropriate action is taken to counter the same within considerable time as required

Employee Welfare

  • Devising the compensation structure / bands as we grow to ensure the statutory requirements are met as well as the tax liability is minimum

Exit interviews

  • Conducting exit interviews to ascertain the reasons and take corrective actions, wherever the need be to create a satisfactory work environment

Develop and Leverage Relationships

  • Actively contribute to achieving the team goals set so as to collaboratively impact department performance

Performance Management

  • Development of a high-performing project through embedding formal Performance Development and informally coaching team on how to conduct the process effectively. Ensure individual performances are being tracked as per plan and necessary actions are taken for the same

Attrition
– Ensuring employees are motivated enough to reduce the rate of attrition within the team.

Recruitment Costs - Ensuring the outbound to inbound recruitment ratio decreases, thereby optimizing recruitment costs for the company.
Salaries & Contractual Administration – Ensuring you work with the finance team to ensure end-end contracts + salaries + payroll is managed on a month on month basis. And work on reports/audits/P&L costs as and when required.
