About This Role – VP Compliance Policies & Procedures

Genesis Trading is seeking an VP, Compliance Policies & Procedures, with a strong background in policy development, reporting directly to the Compliance Chief of Staff. The VP will focus on the design, implementation and continuous development of Policies and Procedures for the Compliance Department.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Compliance policies and procedures
• Tracking of regulatory developments and changes through multiple sources e.g. legal & regulatory bulletins, alerts, industry focus groups and news relating to global laws, regulations and rules.
• Conduct expert research and data gathering
• Communicate regulatory developments and policy guidance to stakeholders throughout the business
• Work closely with CCO and AML Officer to update policies and procedures in line with regulatory updates
• Work with Compliance staff in Singapore and London to ensure compatibility and cohesion with firmwide policies and procedures
• Spot and implement corrective actions as a result of issues identified during the course of regulatory interactions
• Multi-task and have the ability to manage and advance multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law/Accounting/Finance or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred
• At least 5 years experience in Compliance, preferably in a regulated environment
• Experience designing and developing policies and procedures,
• Strong working knowledge of SEC, FINRA and DFS regulations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including experience interacting with business side and senior management
• Quick learner who can adapt well to a fluid regulatory and business environment.
• Experience in a Fintech or Cryptocurrencies will be highly advantageous
