As our social media associate, you’ll play a critical role in building and leading the Islands social media strategy by taking ownership of different platforms (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) and partnering closely with our creators to produce relevant thumb-stopping content about crypto, NFTs, and DAOs.
The ideal candidate for this role enjoys keeping a strong pulse of social media platforms, thinking outside of the box, and finding ways to present content in unique ways natively.
Here’s what your day to day looks like:
- Writing tweets, lots of them
- Overseeing Islands platforms (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) including staying up-to-date on the latest updates and features, trends, and consumer behavior
- Identifying long-form content to transform into bite-sized content for socials (graphics, videos, memes, gifs, stories, etc.)
- Partnering closely with creators to produce relevant thumb-stopping content
- Surfacing insights and trends to the full media team to action on
- Monitoring and reporting on platform analytics on a weekly and monthly basis
We’re looking for someone who:
- Loves social media
- Lives and breathes NFTs
- Has 3+ years experience in social media management, content production, or related field
- Experience and excitement about crypto, NFTs, DAOs
- Has a strong pulse on NFT current events and can report on news quickly
- Loves memes
- Uses and creates on social media regularly
- Has a high level of discipline - you’re a self-starter who holds yourself accountable to exceed expectations
Bonus if you have this:
- Knack for making things go viral
- Experience in graphic design, video editing, or copywriting
- Experience editing and producing podcasts
