We are looking for a quality assurance engineer with at least two years of professional experience. Experience in the fintech industry, particularly in digital banking and payments, and knowledge of blockchain technology would be a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that our platform meets the quality standards we set internally and that our customers expect
  • Perform user acceptance testing throughout the software development life cycle in our development, test and staging environments
  • Develop and document test cases for the entire platform
  • Develop a test plan for every release
  • Execute the test plan and log the defects
  • Review fixes
  • Work closely with the development team to facilitate continuous quality improvement
  • Verify that quality metrics, such as unit test coverage, are met before code is promoted out of the test environment
  • You will be responsible for user acceptance testing as well as manual integration and regression testing in the test environment
  • You will be responsible for testing the platform prior to final signoff by the business stakeholders
  • You will test and verify hotfixes in the production environment
  • You will be required to do basic testing of REST APIs
  • By building an extensive knowledge of the platform you will be a key knowledge stakeholder in the business

Requirements:

  • More than 2 years of experience as a quality assurance engineer
  • Must have extensive experience with Jira and with tools such as Zephyr which are used within Jira to support the QA process
  • Extensive experience of writing test cases and developing test plans
  • Familiarity with Gitlab Flow is an advantage
  • Familiarity with AWS
  • Knowledge of using Postman
  • Knowledge of using tools such as browser “Developer Tools”
  • Experience working with startup teams developing B2C and B2B platforms
  • Familiarity with development tools and languages are to your advantage
  • Efficient problem solver, with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Ability to take ownership of problems
  • Ideally, is able to work/overlap with GMT hours
