Orca is building the most user-friendly, capital-efficient, and composable AMM DEX on Solana. We’re looking for an experienced marketer to kickstart the growth of the Orca protocol. As one of the first DeFi apps on Solana, we offer a unique chance to shape the culture of a growing ecosystem.

As Orca's Head of Marketing, you'll use your creativity and imagination to find ways to build trust in the brand, bring more users to the platform, and grow our community.

About our team: - A lean team of 6-8 senior contributors based across multiple timezones - Fully remote and location-agnostic - Passionate about bringing a human touch to DeFi

What you'll do: - Articulate the nuance behind our design and technical choices to grow awareness of Orca's product, reach new customers, and increase TVL/trade volume - Craft strategy for new product launches and global expansion (strategy, planning, execution, analysis, and optimization) - Design marketing content, develop relationships, and actively conduct outreach to make Orca part of the conversation - Curate, write, and schedule social media posts (Primary channels include Twitter, Discord, and Telegram with potential expansion as other channels gain traction) - Explore new channels to onboard customers outside of crypto, testing for effectiveness using a data-driven approach

What you bring: - Exceptional organization and project management skills - Passion for DeFi and crypto - Masterful storytelling skills that capture Orca's brand values (professional, principled, and playful) - Ability to turn complex information into easy-to-understand content

Bonus points if you have... - Used Orca for trading and/or liquidity provision - Participated in DeFi, especially the Solana ecosystem and an understanding of Solana's culture - Experience with Figma and/or other design tools - An appreciation for cheesy marine puns

Details of the role: - Base salary in USDC + ORCA governance tokens, depending on experience - 40 hr/week contractor position
