Our advisory committee includes founders with exits, Web3 natives, private equity and venture capital specialists.

With Fund 1 launched in early 2022, we have 50+ early stage investments across a range of verticals including infrastructure, exchanges, financial tech, oracles & data, NFTs and gaming, identity and security etc. We will be launching Fund 2 in Q4 of this year and have positioned ourselves as a key venture capital partner of choice for Web3 projects looking for strategic, high-value capital.

Who are you

As the Web3 Research Analyst for Primal Capital, you will be an integral part of our early-stage venture capital investment team. Your primary responsibility is to conduct thorough research and analysis of potential investments in the Web3 space, which includes cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, decentralised applications, and other emerging Web3 technologies.

You are a critical thinker who is able to analyse data and extract insights to make informed investment decisions. You have a deep understanding of the Web3 ecosystem, as well as a strong background (either educational or real world experience) in finance and investment analysis. You have a passion for exploring and learning about new technologies and are always up-to-date on the latest developments in the Web3 space.

You are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. You are able to clearly articulate your research findings and investment recommendations to the rest of the investment team. You are a team player who is willing to collaborate and contribute to the success of the entire investment team.

Additionally you will have:

• Attention to detail and ability to spot potential risks and challenges
• As the Web3 space is constantly evolving and changing, an analyst in this role should be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

In this Research Analyst role you will be working with the investment team and general partners on a broad range of responsibilities including:

• Conduct research on Web3 infrastructure and tooling, emerging trends in development and investment themes, regional based comparisons, distributed applications across the Web3 ecosystem
• Analyse technical and financial data of potential investments to evaluate their feasibility and potential for growth
• Develop investment theses and presentations for the investment team and potential investors
• Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in web3, including new projects, protocols, and emerging technologies
• Collaborate with portfolio companies to help them achieve their strategic goals and milestones
• Work closely with the investment team to monitor the performance of existing investments and identify areas for improvement or divestment
• Attend industry events and conferences to network with other investors, founders and stay informed on industry trends
• Build and maintain relationships with founders, developers, and other key players in the Web3 ecosystem
• Assist with due diligence and deal sourcing efforts as needed
• Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge sharing within the firm and the broader Web3 community.

Education

Undergraduate or Masters level current or graduated student with a focus on Business, Management, Finance or related area

This role has the scope to be able to grow into so much more and will have a high-level of autonomy.
