This position will play a pivotal role in our rapidly growing business of Ripple and SBI Ripple Asia (a joint venture company of SBI Holdings and Ripple) in the Japan and South Korea markets. You will collaborate with multiple teams at Ripple to own and execute technical programs and manage business initiatives in collaboration with the joint venture and Ripple teams to expand the adoption of RippleNet and On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) solutions. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Joint Venture Partnership based in New York.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Drive alignment between Ripple and SBI Ripple Asia to accelerate the RippleNet adoption.
• Partner with technical delivery teams to ensure successful execution of high-priority projects and seamless customer experience
• Drive complex initiatives from conception to implementation and become sought out as a trusted advisor by our partner teams.
• Create and manage project plans; monitor and review project progress and timelines; adjust schedules and plans as needed; and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success.
• When required, interface directly with RippleNet customers with our joint venture partner.
• Facilitate timely resolution of product issues and escalate product requests and regional insights to the Product organization
• Manage difficult conversations regarding budget, resources and timeline and formally capture and communicate outcomes of those meetings.
• Develop and execute volume expansion strategies in collaboration with the joint venture team to achieve team OKRs
• Become an expert of the cross-border payments markets in Japan and Korea

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 7 to 10 years of experience in technical project or program management.
• Experience working in technology and financial companies.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, technical support, data, sales, operations, compliances, legal, etc).
• Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects with competing priorities, while working independently to drive projects to completion with minimal guidance and high attention to detail.
• Natural leader with proven effectiveness in leading cross-functional / organizational / cultural teams.
• Ability to streamline complex processes and implement workflows designed to increase efficiency.
• Strong communicator of ideas; able to engage and lead client and Ripple teams in challenging the status quo, implementing change, and driving action with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to proactively identify and manage project risks.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high energy, team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to take meetings in the US time zone as needed.
• Must be able to travel.
• Experience in business program management is a plus.
• Proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
