Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Software Developer (Python/Blockchain) for our valued partner, an innovative organization at the forefront of emerging technologies. This role is a CTH (contract-to-hire) hybrid position, located in Long Beach, CA.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a talented and forward-thinking Software Developer with strong Python expertise and a passion for blockchain innovation. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain decentralized applications and secure backend systems. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to the next generation of blockchain-powered solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
- Build, deploy, and integrate blockchain applications and smart contracts
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and DevOps to deliver scalable solutions
- Apply secure coding practices and perform code reviews
- Research and adopt new blockchain trends and emerging technologies
- Contribute to the design and architecture of decentralized systems
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of strong software development in Python is a must
- Hands-on experience with blockchain protocols such as Ethereum, Solana, Polygon or Hyperledger is a must
- Familiarity with smart contract development (e.g., Solidity or similar languages) is a must
- Knowledge of blockchain principles, cryptography, and distributed consensus is a must
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and databases (SQL/NoSQL) is a must
- Knowledge of Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure is a must
- Experience with Web3 technologies and libraries (ex. web3.py, web3.js, ethers.js) - Highly Preferred
- Understanding of Layer 2 solutions, DeFi or NFT standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, etc..) is preferred
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position offers a competitive pay rate of $65-72/hr depending upon experience, along with their robust benefits package offerings.
