Sweet is looking for a Principal Engineer (Web Services) that is capable of owning development of a feature or project from beginning-to-end. This position will join a highly talent, experienced team of engineers and product managers building one of the most exciting consumer-oriented NFT product suites in the world.

Your impact:

  • Architecting and implementing complex transactional systems, including auctions, trading, transfers, and minting
  • Partnering with the Product team to understand features and user experience
  • Coordinating with our front end engineers on feature development
  • Designing web APIs to support web and mobile
  • Performing code and design reviews

You have the right experience and expertise if you have:

  • Significant and meaningful experience in software engineering
  • Significant expertise with Python backend programming and web API development
  • Familiarity with AWS platform services, serverless stacks, and developing Lambda functions
  • Experience with MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, DynamoDB, consumer platforms, cache management, are all beneficial but not required
  • Prior startup experience is strongly preferred

Our starting cash compensation range for this role for Denver/Colorado based applicants is 175,000-210,000 & most remote locations. Our starting cash compensation for California, New York and the Tri-state based applicants is 190,000-220,000, this is in addition to other company sponsored benefits like 401k, health insurance and equity) Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
