We are looking to grow our talented marketing team! As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for managing all existing TRLab social marketing channels (Instagram, Tik Tok and Twitter). You are a creative digital storyteller who is tapped into the latest social media trends and best practices and have proven capability for creating and managing high-performing social media content. You will need to be collaborative, open-minded, data-driven, a natural creative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The social media manager will be central in leading and coordinating cross-functional efforts to build and engage new audiences - overseeing content development and production, community management, analytics tracking and reporting. This position is based in New York City and will be required to collaborate at an in-person office 2-3 days a week.

Core Responsibilities:

What You'll Do

  • Lead all aspects of TRLab's social media strategy, including development of an integrated strategy roadmap, including key marketing objectives, content development, tone and voice, cadence, community management, analytics and reporting.
  • Manage and generate content across social media channels, with a focus on video. Project manage and liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners for asset sourcing, editing, copywriting and posting. Closely partner with part time marketing consultants and design team members on content and creative.
  • Develop and manage an omni-channel calendar including partnership priorities and TRLab platform needs, identifying key moments for engagement with our target audience of art enthusiasts.
  • Work with Partnership Owners to generate ideas, own, build and help execute detailed digital GTM strategies for partnerships alongside external partners.
  • Generate monthly reporting on social media activity (impressions, followers, sentiment), and recommend actionable strategies across all channels to the executive leadership team.
  • Propose paid social media campaigns focused on growing user conversion, engagement and retention. This will include reporting out learnings and interfacing with finance team members to communicate budgets and paid spend.
  • Be comfortable with capturing content with phone and camera, potentially participating with video and voice over needs.
  • Stays abreast of emerging trends and technologies to identify opportunities and engage new partners. Bring new ideas in social media and content marketing to executive leadership team.

Qualifications:

Must-Have

  • 3-5 years of experience working in social media and digital marketing, ideally at an arts organization or a technology-forward platform.
  • Experience with content creation for multiple channels.
  • Successful track record of implementing social media marketing strategies that increase brand awareness and engagement through the creation of multi-channel social media campaigns
  • Knowledge of best practices in Digital Marketing, content creation, social media
  • Strong analytical chops and fluency with using marketing analytics tools
  • Excellent track record of managing a team, including contractors and agencies
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams including product management, product design, communications, business development, and executive leadership
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills to help translate detailed technical content into impactful go-to-market material
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with analytics tools for social media platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of fine art or a passion for art history
