Job Summary
As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Verada, you will be a key founding member of our leadership team, responsible for driving the technical vision and strategy of the company. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and scaling our blockchain-based solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security, reliability, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Technical Strategy: Develop and communicate the company's technical strategy, aligning it with the business objectives and market demands.
- Blockchain Technology Leadership: Stay abreast of the latest developments in blockchain technology and provide guidance on the selection of appropriate blockchain platforms and tools.
- Product Development: Lead the development of blockchain-based products and services, from concept to deployment, ensuring they meet market needs and quality standards.
- Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Technology Stack: Define the technology stack and architecture for Verada blockchain solutions, making informed decisions on blockchain platforms, consensus algorithms, and smart contract languages.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, marketing, and operations, to align technical efforts with business objectives and customer needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A degree or certification in blockchain development is a plus.
Experience as a CTO or a similar leadership role in a blockchain-focused company or a startup environment is a plus.
Knowledge of blockchain technologies, including public and private blockchains, consensus algorithms, smart contracts, and cryptographic principles.
Strong programming and software development skills, with experience in languages commonly used in blockchain development (e.g., Solidity, Rust, Go).
Experience with blockchain networks like Avalanche, Ethereum, etc. as well as platforms including Chainlink, IPFS, and more.
Deep understanding of security protocols and best practices in the blockchain space.
