About the Role

At Zip, we’ve started with buy now, pay later, but are expanding our product offering to other financial services. We’re looking for an experienced product leader to lead a team that will help our customers save, invest, and spend responsibly to secure their financial future.

This role will have the opportunity to have a huge impact, as you will manage the ideation and rollout of new experiences that will grow our customer base. You’ll partner with marketing, design, risk, analytics, and engineering to define and deliver end-to-end solutions to supercharge customer engagement and provide value to our users.

What You'll do:

• Define and execute product strategy for financial services
• Define key metrics for success and analyze the user impact of product features
• Lead and manage a Global Financial Services Product function
• Deeply understand our customers’ needs and the financial challenges they face
• Obsess with creating simple yet powerful user experiences
• Help us manage regulatory requirements when launching new financial tools
• Guide and product manage a best-in-class cross-functional team to ship remarkable products
• Lead end-to-end product development cycle from discovery to launch and iteration
• Become the SME and point person for your subject area
• Influence important partners throughout Zip to align intent, resources, and prioritization

What you'll bring to the table:

• You care about the team, about people, about the HOW. You lead out of humility and nurture a blameless and collaborative culture
• You don’t aim for good, you believe in building world-class products
• You understand the value of communicating clearly and quickly to stakeholders and your team to avoid surprises
• You create bonds everywhere you go, you connect with other leaders and build bridges between teams based on an honest will to help
• 10+ years in a product management or product-facing role with some notable wins
• Experience at a financial services and/or fintech organization is preferred but not required
• Ability to maintain focus on high-level strategy and goals while simultaneously sweating the details and working through nuanced requirements with the team
• Passion for financial technology and empowering merchants, partners, and customers
• Strong customer empathy
• Take-charge mentality, growth mindset, detail-oriented; self-management
• Experience delivering results in a data-driven environment

Nice To Have:

• A sense of humor is hugely preferred
• Personal interest in fintech, cryptocurrency, and investing
• An interesting life story / a cool hobby / a diverse background has proven to bring more to the table in terms of perspective
