Founded end of 2022 and officially registered as a Virtual Financial Asset Issuer at the Malta Financial Services Authority in June 2023 (and already applied for our EMI License), StablR issued its first stablecoins in October 2023 and has rapidly gained traction. StablR provides a high level of visibility on its reserves through daily statements brought on-chain through Chainlink; and fiat funds are fully segregated from the issuer in an Irish Trust that is managed by an independent asset manager to ensure the lowest counterparty risk in the industry. As we continue to grow, we therefore are seeking a Chief Finance Officer (CFO), based in Malta, to lead our Finance efforts. The CFO is part of the Executive Committee of StablR and will report to the Board of Directors. StablR is operating in Malta and Amsterdam with a talented and passionate team of currently 16 people that is working hard to realize the StablR dream and we want you to join us!

Responsibilities

As the (Malta based) CFO, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing StablR’s financial strategy and ensuring the company's financial health. You will be responsible for finance, accounting, business control and tax and will work closely with the executive team to make informed financial decisions, manage financial risks, and contribute to the overall success of the organization during all the different phases of growth.

Role

• Responsible for executing financial strategies aligned with the company's business goals
• Drive the automation strategy of financial processes and contribute to the scalability of StablR.
• Oversee and improve Business Control, Financial Control, Financial Accounting, and Tax, including regulatory reporting to the MFSA.
• Responsible to address financial risks and opportunities for the company.
• Complement the executive team with strong knowledge of Maltese law, regulation and reporting requirements.
• Responsible to manage and improve financial procedures and processes within our organization.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant (Maltese) financial regulations and accounting standards and stay informed about any applicable changes within the industry.
• Present financial reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
• Support the Board with raising capital and complex business development projects.
• Manage a growing diverse, equitable and inclusive finance team.

Your Profile

• Located in Malta
• Master's degree in Business Economics or Finance added preferably with MBA, CPA, or equivalent
• 8+ years of management experience at global scale, with deep experience in finance within banking/fintech or other regulated business
• Strong believer in Blockchain and digital assets functionalities
• Blockchain obsession: a clear track record in the crypto/blockchain space is a plus
• Experience managing internal stakeholders, including executive stakeholders. You have great communication and internal stakeholder empathy skills
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to simplify complex facts and persistent in solving high level problems quickly and efficiently
• Detailed knowledge of the industry and applicable laws and regulations; and
• Experience interacting with regulatory authorities.
