We are looking for a talented Risk professional to join the OKX family at OKX Dubai.

About the Opportunity:

The successful candidate will have extensive risk, payment and operational experience in a global environment, with a proven track record of using risk to drive business growth in UAE and the region. You’ll work with global risk leaders and local business partners to define the risk strategy, policy and solutions to address risk related issues in UAE and the region. You will possess the ability and willingness to balance customer needs with business priorities and articulate the rationale behind decisions.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, process-driven environment and be able to adapt and adjust plans on-the-fly. You must also have strong prioritization skills and willingness to roll up the sleeves to get the job done. Most importantly, you’ll drive and support the growth and adoption of OKX Dubai products and features while building the risk culture and risk management strategies.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop risk management policies to make sure they are reflected in the organization’s strategic plans
• Conduct risk assessment process through risk management expert or in-person
• Prepare documentation related to risk assessment
• Create a budget plan for concerned projects
• Analyze and proactively manage the threats to the reputation of the organization, which includes blunders in the marketing process
• Documenting risk analysis reports to various stakeholders such as board members, C-suite executives, and employees
• Evaluating the operational risks that might occur due to system failure or human error, which in turn leads to the disruption of business processes, and formulate strategies to overcome the risks
• Recognize the potential threats to operational efficiency and financial stability of the organization
• Develop risk related plans and formulate strategies to minimize and mitigate risks and also monitoring the progress of the project
• Work with local law enforcement on financial fraud investigations following the local regulations and practice
• Work with global risk management teams to meet all the risk and business goals
• Support global risk teams to provide local business insights for risk and business decisions

What We Look For In You:

• Preferably master degree in Law, Finance, Data Science or Economics
• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in Risk and Payment related business functions with a history (and preference) of being strategic, analytical and operational execution-oriented
• Proven track record of designing and implementing Enterprise Risk Management ( ERM) framework for risk evaluations and mitigation;
• Proven track record of designing and implementing risk strategies and solutions;
• Strong capabilities and experience in driving risk analytics to enable business growth while balancing risk and rewards;
• Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of business functions, with an emphasis on key business partners and senior management;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the abilities to adopt a roll up your sleeves and just do it mindset and mentality;
• Solid communication and collaboration skills with both internal and external partners
• Proactive to lead and drive changes and is capable of doing all the work with or without other team member's support.

Nice to Haves:

• You either are already or are eager to become an expert in the blockchain and cryptocurrency landscape and will understand how speculators, traders, digital asset exchanges, blockchain money services businesses and financial institutions operate.
• Experience working in a disruptive technology, successfully launching products, ideally, within FinTech, eCommerce, SaaS, AdTech, or Digital Wallet business experience
• Familiarity with product management processes and tools
• MBA preferred, but not required
• Experience working with teams across offices and time zones.
• Fluent in English
