BitGo is looking to hire a Compliance Specialist - Transaction Monitoring. This role will report directly to our Head of AML Investigations. We're looking for candidates in the Greater New York City Area.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, review, and investigate transaction monitoring and wallet screening alerts using blockchain analytics tools and internal monitoring tools.
  • Prepare detailed case investigation reports that involve flagged cryptocurrency transactions; prepare SARs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of AML typologies that relate to cryptocurrency transactions, correspondent banking, high risk jurisdictions.
  • Distill and analyze key AML data points to drive Compliance program enhancements and maintain coverage of current crypto and financial crime trends.
  • Utilize internal and external sources, liaise with stakeholders, to research, review, and investigate activity derived from law enforcement inquiries, internal escalations, third party referrals.

Skills and Experience

  • 1+ years experience in AML compliance, transaction monitoring, and investigations
  • Familiarity and experience with using blockchain analytics software (Elliptic, Chainalysis, etc)
  • Knowledge and understanding of AML regulatory requirements and expectations, including BSA and PATRIOT Acts.
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills; experience leveraging multiple information sources to run an investigation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience writing detailed AML reports
  • Comfortable working with large data sets
  • Bachelor’s degree
