Web3 Controller

Location: Santa Monica, California, United States

The Role:

Autograph is looking for an experienced Controller to manage and scale its accounting systems, processes, and controls. The ideal candidate is someone who will work independently, drive projects from concept to completion, communicate effectively across teams and enjoy collaborating with people with diverse skills, all while operating in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the General Ledger and ensure accurate and timely periodic closings.
  • Prepare internal and external financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Collaborate with company auditors.
  • Work with Product, Technology, Partnerships, Legal, Business Affairs and Marketing to assist with decision making related to accounting, tax, SOX compliance and related topics.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment to maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Assist the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with the company's budgeting and forecasting process for individual projects and overall company revenues and expenses.
  • Generate and manage overhead budgets
  • Generate and manage financial reporting for all partners (participation accounting, support).
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, cash flow and working capital, bank and credit account reconciliations, and payroll/benefits processing.
  • Continue to refine and implement policies, processes, and documentation for the above.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A CPA with 4+ years of Big 4 public accounting and/or industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Controller (or equivalent position) in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Unquestionable integrity
  • Strong analytical skills and impeccable attention to detail
  • A “bias-for-action” and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • Exceptional organization skills & ability to manage multiple project simultaneously
  • Enthusiasm for thinking outside the box to tackle complex problems
  • Demonstrated strength leveraging data and qualitative insights to drive decision making
  • High emotional intelligence and exceptional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Entertainment and Technology industry experience
  • Knowledge of NFT space
  • Knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrencies
