Ripple is hiring a Web3 Director of International Reporting and Consolidations

Director of Consolidations and International Reporting
Due to the rapid growth globally, Ripple is looking for a talented Director of Consolidations and International Reporting to build and lead the function. Located in our San Francisco office and reporting to the Global Corporate Controller, the Director of Consolidations and International Reporting will be an essential member to the team as we further expand globally. This will be a high visibility role that will collaborate cross functionally with all levels within the global organization.
What you’ll do:
- Build, implement and maintain scalable intercompany and consolidation processes and procedures
- Be a key member coordinating with tax, legal and compliance to draft intercompany agreements and implement processes to appropriately monitor adherence to such agreements
- Identify key differences between US GAAP and local accounting policies, educating the broader accounting function and be the owner of the statutory reporting books in our ERP
- For further international expansion, be the subject matter expert providing the cross functional team with insightful considerations when doing business in foreign jurisdictions and be a key member in operationalizing new international entities
- Engage and manage local finance teams and external accounting firms ensuring timely and accurate statutory reporting and reporting to headquarters
- Analyze and ensure accuracy of subsidiary financial result reporting packages including operational results, balance sheet fluctuations and cash flows
- Provide guidance and leadership on structure of our international accounting function and where the demand exists, hire and lead a high performing team
- Partner closely with the treasury and tax teams and provide guidance on intercompany settlement and movement of intercompany funds
- Lead special projects as needed
What we’re looking for:
- At least 10 years of experience in a combination of industry, preferably in FinTech, and public accounting experience with at least 5 years in a similar function
- Bachelor's degree and CPA, experience working with financial service regulators a plus
- Someone that is excited to work in a fast-paced and challenging global environment and own critical decision-making responsibilities to build the team
- We are a crypto company and looking to build breakthrough crypto solutions. A general interest and understanding the of the crypto industry will be a key to success
- A critical thinker that has shown the ability to independently understand and solve complex problems
- Experienced with accounting rules and reporting requirements in a variety of international jurisdictions including but not limited to, Singapore, UK, EU, China, Australia, India, Brazil, Iceland, and Canada.
- The proven ability to design and implement effective operational controls and processes for a fast growing global company
- A proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to build strong working relationships cross functionally
- Proficient with Intacct or a similar ERP required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
