Position Overview:
CleanSpark is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Regional Operations to oversee the daily operations of our regional mining facilities in Georgia and Mississippi. This role is critical to ensuring that our sites maintain 99%+ uptime while fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. As the Director of Regional Operations, you will lead a team of site managers and maintenance staff, drive operational excellence, and contribute to strategic initiatives that align with our company’s growth and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, data center infrastructure, team development, and resource optimization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operations Oversight:
- Oversee the daily operations of regional data centers, ensuring 99%+ uptime.
- Develop and implement operational strategies in collaboration with senior leadership and internal teams to meet company goals.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices, company standards, and compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational policies.
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a regional team of site managers and maintenance staff, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration and respect.
- Provide ongoing development and training for staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, industry associations, and business partners.
- Represent the company at internal and external events to enhance visibility and leadership within the industry and the communities where we operate.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics to evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage regional operational budgets in coordination with site managers, ensuring cost-effective operations and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure safe and compliant work environments across all sites, adhering to all required standards, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure adherence to operational guidelines and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Resource Management:
- Oversee the efficient utilization of resources, optimizing processes and reducing waste without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the timely availability of critical resources.
- Employee Relations & Performance Management:
- Handle employee relations, including disciplinary actions and terminations, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Foster a culture of accountability and ensure that performance expectations are clearly communicated and met.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in operations management, with a strong focus on data center operations or related infrastructure.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiencies.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to travel regionally to multiple sites.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
This position may involve duties that require operation of a company vehicle or travel between job sites. As such, candidates must be insurable under CleanSpark's vehicle insurance policy.
