Investors in the company include Andreessen Horowitz, Polychain Capital, and Draper Associates, among others. We are a remote-first company, led by founders who have been operating in the cryptocurrency and web3 space since 2014.
About the EA role
Thesis is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Executive Assistant to perform a variety of clerical, administrative, and operational tasks supporting the CEO. The Executive Assistant will also partner with Operations and PeopleOps teams by providing administrative and scheduling support. While Thesis is a remote-first organization, this position is in-person in our Atlanta office. This position reports to the Chief of Staff.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding time management skills, professional communication skills (verbal, written), attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency. These characteristics are essential in the role, as this position will directly support the CEO, along with occasional support for the broader C-Suite and VPs in a fast-paced environment spanning multiple time zones.
Responsibilities in this position will be wide ranging, and will primarily encompass, but will not be limited to, supporting the CEO with calendar management, administrative tasks, internal and external communications and other day-to-day operational duties. Interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain is a bonus.
Essential Functions:
- Gatekeeper for time and calendar management for the CEO
- Inbox management. Follow email management best practices and understand the privy to confidential information.
- Join meetings, document notes, and action items. Be confident in directing work to the proper individual or team
- Preparing correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas and minutes etc.
- Communicate with internal teams and external: partners, our Board of Directors, investor relations, business development leads on behalf of the CEO and Leadership Team
- Arrange travel for the CEO
- Help support the occasional planning of offsite events
- Atlanta office management support
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in an administrative role; start-up or remote environment strongly preferred
- A reputation for responsiveness, thoroughness, accuracy, high integrity for confidentiality and knowledge of keeping proprietary information secure
- Strong ability to collaborate with executive team, vertical VPs and others remotely
- Proactive problem-solving with impeccable attention to detail
- Poise under pressure and ability to prioritize and manage multiple people, personalities, and adapt to different projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to interface with clients and teammates
- Proven ability to anticipate executive needs and think ten steps ahead
- Master multi-tasker; capable of coordinating multiple executive calendars and successfully manage time create a balanced work life environment
- Experience handling sensitive information, including confidential information, passwords and security keys
- Proficiency with G Suite and multiple task management tools
