Our solution enables users to co-own their data with the platforms they create that data with, and then gives them the ability to share, give, distribute and even monetize that data as we put the individual at the center of their electronic universe and create the world's first "digital genome".

Experience Director (Creative Director)

SELF ID is looking for an experienced "full-stack" Experience Director to join our team. This is a pivotal role that effectively is a "Creative Director" but with even broader responsibilities that span over into and beyond the direction, characteristics, and mood/feel categories such as marketing, advertising, customer support, and others.

This is a full-time role reporting to the Co-Founder & Chief Experience Officer (CXO) that can be held anywhere in the world. You will work closely with our CXO, attending all relevant meetings and become a "right-hand" person to ensure that visions are aligned and will spend a lot of time ideating and conceptualizing. You will then facilitate the communication of those ideas and concepts to product, design, and engineering teams to build, create, execute, and deploy assets and deliverables to launch and drive the adoption of SELF ID. You will catalyze our growth by helping to define our value proposition, craft compelling messaging and develop effective go-to-market strategies to acquire and retain users, integration partners, and platforms.

As our first Experience/Creative hire, you will also have the opportunity to help us build out the marketing foundation at SELF ID–from developing messaging and positioning, telling our customers' stories, architecting campaigns, building out enablement resources and more and creating the initial roll-out of a PR/Marketing campaign which builds to our live release in Q4 of 2023.

What you'll do at SELF ID:

  • Spend 6-9 months creating actual work product with quick turnarounds and rapid iterations.
  • Willingness to adopt the SELF experience team's philosophy of design ("prototype-first" and others) such and be nimble/flexible to a new process and flow that may seem new and different at first
  • Especially proficient with copywriting and the ability to understand complex concepts quickly and then reduce and simplify those concepts into a language and framework that everyday people can understand and digest
  • Familiarity with marketing concepts and strategies, particularly having been through campaign creations and
  • PR executions with other products, services or launches in the past
  • Help lead and manage the creative, marketing, copywriting, and other efforts to develop and execute innovative, multi-channel campaigns and strategies along with engagement, brand awareness, customer loyalty, etc
  • Establish a clear and cohesive brand narrative across all channels, ensuring that messaging is consistent, engaging, and aligned with the company's vision and values, as well as being educational such that SELF can become not only a successful company but a thought/innovation leader in this space.
  • Collaborate with CXO and other cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and customer support, to develop and implement creative solutions that enhance the customer journey and drive business results.
  • Work closely with the founding team, along with product and engineering—to develop our go-to-market strategy, product messaging and positioning that sets us apart from competitors and demonstrates understanding of our customers' needs
  • Oversee the production and delivery of high-quality creative assets, including visuals, videos, and written content, ensuring that they effectively communicate the desired message and adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and customer feedback to optimize the effectiveness of marketing and creative initiatives, continually improving the overall customer experience.
  • Analyze customer data to identify new trends and emerging patterns in product usage to feedback to product
  • Quantitatively measure the effectiveness of our product marketing programs in driving adoption of SELF ID
  • Develop and manage budgets, project timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and within budget constraints.
  • Eventually mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement as the team begins and continues to grow
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, actively participating in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Strong writing skills, meaning you avoid enterprise jargon, can adapt to the SELF ID voice, and write with the customer in mind
  • A data-driven approach to your work
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get scrappy—we are a startup after all
  • Blockchain, crypto, web3 experience a plus
