The Role - What will you be doing?

We’re looking for a confident, ambitious graduate who is looking for the first step into an exciting world of Anti Financial Crime with a modern and dynamic firm. The role holder will report to the Client Due Diligence (CDD) Onboarding Manager.

The Financial Crime Graduate will work significantly with the CDD Onboarding team and help BCB gain a larger client base. They will also work closely with the department managers, Head of Financial Crime and MLRO.

This is a genuinely unique opportunity for an ambitious, hard working graduate who is looking to start their career in Finance and Compliance. You may already have a little payments, finance or compliance experience or none at all. But if you can demonstrate a good aptitude for learning, the willingness to go above and beyond and the ability to prioritise and keep calm in a fast paced environment then this is the foot in the door for you with a fantastic firm and a new career!

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform the due diligence at client onboarding, ensuring the accuracy of the client data received is at the acceptable level.
  • Using the gathered KYC to make an informed risk assessment of the new client
  • Create quality KYC profiles ensuring accuracy, completeness and validity, incorporating multiple risk factors in compliance with global regulatory requirements and inline with our banking partners
  • Assess the effectiveness of each clients’ AML framework, questioning and asking for further evidence where required
  • Identify and verify key related parties including identification of the UBO/UBOs
  • Prepare and arrange KYC checklists for account review
  • Investigate and escalate all suspicious activity and financial crime to protect the business
  • Have a strong focus on client experience

  • Either a University graduate or equivalent with work experience, who shows not just the aptitude but desire for a career in this field.
  • Must have knowledge of Windows suite of products
  • Confident presenting to both small and large groups
  • Confident and proactive in communicating with people at all levels in both writing and verbally
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to work in a concise and methodical manner
  • An interest/thirst for knowledge in Crypto
  • An understanding of entity types and complex corporate structures
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Experience and confidence to work alone and as part of a team
  • Ability to keep up to date with AML regulations, changes and typologies
  • Additional languages an advantage
  • Desire and passion to succeed!
