Web3 Fund Operations Associate

About the opportunity:

We are currently seeking to hire our first Investment Operations Associate to work within the private investing arm of DCG’s newest subsidiary. The new subsidiary remains in stealth mode, but will be working with the world’s leading crypto, blockchain, and DeFi entrepreneurs and investors.

As a founding member of the investing team, you will work with a group of talented individuals to contribute to the development and execution of multiple fund strategies including a liquidity vehicle, fund of funds, and direct venture capital and private equity investing. In this role you will be involved in the coordination, oversight, and execution of investment decisions. This includes coordinating and facilitating communication between Investment team and staff, external investment managers, fund administrators, subscription service providers, bank custodians, attorneys, clients, and other relevant parties.

Your role will be central to driving the development of additional fund vehicles and the execution of investment decisions.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Working directly with a cross functional team to support the operations of the HQ Investment and Compliance teams:
    • Ensure implementation of fund processes and continuous process improvements
    • Complete subscription and redemption documentation and track workflow with fund administrator
    • Collaborate with fund administrator to coordinate asset transfers between fund investors, custodians, and investment managers, maintaining account records
    • Work with fund administrator to navigate AML/KYC requirements for subscription and redemption transactions
    • Coordinate communication between internal teams, investment managers, legal counsel, and clients
    • Proactively support investment team objectives through communication with third-party service providers
    • Review documentation and maintain correspondence
    • Monitor performance of portfolio investments
    • Prepare ad hoc, quarterly, and annual reports
    • Utilize internal DCG resources to support investment portfolio
    • Maintain awareness of current investment themes and client interests
    • Support new fund set up processes by engaging and onboarding relevant third party service providers

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in digital assets/distributed networks and how they will reshape global finance
