Reporting to the Global Compliance Manager, this role provides a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on the development of the Compliance Program globally and on the operational success of Crypto.com.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that law enforcement cases, civil/criminal subpoenas, and other governmental or legal investigation requests, are evaluated and handled in strict accordance with our policies, internal guidelines, and applicable laws
- Review documents (law enforcement requests, civil/criminal subpoenas and other) and extract data to satisfy the request in a timely manner
- Understand and maintain proficient knowledge of our systems, tools and data to be able to extract requested data
- Assist with the development of the global law enforcement handling process to ensure we are compliant with local regulatory requirements
- Work cross-departmentally with various Teams to respond to law enforcement requests in a timely manner
- Contribute to the maintenance and review of global policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date with all regulatory and best practices
- Highlight any potential/emerging risks and help develop strategies for mitigating those
- Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of the Company
- Performing any other duties under the guidance of the Global Compliance Manager
Requirements
- 1-3 years compliance experience in the financial services industry with a good background/expertise in financial crime prevention or KYC processes
- University degree or higher in Law/Economics or any other related subject
- Understand and maintain proficient knowledge of our systems, tools and data
- Excellent organizational skills and capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Understanding of compliance and risk issues in a financial services industry, including applicable rules, laws and regulations
- Good understanding of cryptocurrencies or a strong interest in learning
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong analytical and communication skills - verbal and written, integrity, initiative, perseverance, leadership skills, strong ability to follow up, follow through and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written, strong command of English; excellent computer literacy.
