The Member of Custody, Government Initiatives and Contracts will be a dynamic individual, securing state and federal contracts while ensuring compliance with government procurement regulations. They will spearhead the full lifecycle of government bids, expertly navigating evolving digital asset regulations across jurisdictions. Collaborating closely with government agencies and internal teams, they will align business strategy with compliance, ensuring successful post-contract execution and long-term engagement. A true inspiration, they will unite cross-functional teams, driving government-related initiatives and fostering synergy between Sales, Legal, Compliance, Product, and Engineering.

Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in bidding, compliance, and contract execution for state and federal contracts.
    • Deep understanding of crypto custody infrastructure, blockchain security models, digital asset tracing, and regulatory considerations.
    • Ability to independently draft, structure, and submit government RFP/RFI responses, ensuring competitive positioning.
    • Deep familiarity with government procurement regulations and digital asset policy frameworks.
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and government relations tracking tools to manage engagements, contracts, and compliance updates.

Complexity and Impact of Work:

    • Owns state and federal contract pursuits, ensuring compliance and competitive positioning.
    • Tracks digital asset regulations and engages directly with government agencies to align business strategy
    • Ensures successful implementation, compliance, and renewals of government contracts by working across teams.
    • Positions the company as a trusted partner for government digital asset initiatives, shaping policy discussions and procurement strategies.
    • Ensures strategic alignment and seamless execution without direct authority, empowering teams to drive success in government initiatives.

Organizational Knowledge:

    • Operates effectively within complex procurement structures, influencing decision-makers.
    • Works closely with Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering teams to support government initiatives.
    • Develops repeatable processes to scale public sector engagement and contract acquisition.
    • Thrives in a fast-moving regulatory environment, making data-driven decision and adjusting strategies in real time.

Communication and Influence:

    • Represents the company in state, federal, and sovereign government discussions to advance digital asset adoption.
    • Acts as a key voice in government and public sector forums, influencing decision-makers.
    • Leads end-to-end drafting of RFP/RFI responses, ensuring compelling, compliant submissions.
    • Keeps internal teams informed on government regulations, procurement trends, and policy shifts affecting digital assets.

You may be a fit for this role if you have:

    • 8+ years of experience in government contracting, public sector business development, or government relations, with a focus on state and federal contracts.
    • A proven track record of managing RFI/RFP processes, securing government contracts, and building long term relationships with government entities.
    • Direct experience in blockchain technology, crypto custody, or digital asset policy.
    • Experience owning and drafting RFP proposals independently, with strong project management skills to coordinate internal stakeholders.
    • Established relationships at state and federal levels, with a plus for experience engaging sovereign governments.
