Summary

Point72’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer is looking to add a professional with deep understanding of crypto and blockchain technology, and the entire digital assets ecosystem to lead the Firm’s crypto infrastructure buildout.

The Office of the CFO at Point72 is responsible for overseeing all financial functions for the Firm, as well as helping to guide the strategic direction and implementation of certain critical initiatives, including digital asset investments.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will guide Point72’s crypto infrastructure buildout. This role will require a deep understanding of blockchain technology and the entire digital assets ecosystem including but not limited to crypto currencies, DeFi, and NFTs. The ideal candidate will have deep project management skills, excellent synthesis and communication abilities, an analytical mindset, robust problem-solving skills, a high degree of motivation, and should thrive in a fluid fast-paced environment. The target location for this role is New York City or Stamford, CT, but there may be flexibility for someone to live elsewhere provided they are willing to travel to our offices as needed.

Specifically, the role will:

• Collaborate with groups across our Firm to create an integrated roadmap to explore a best-in-class crypto trading infrastructure across front, middle, and back office
• Identify and evaluate potential partners across pre-trade, order initiation, matching and execution, clearing and settlement, custody and post-trade services and engage in vendor diligence and selection
• Project manage the development of the Point72 crypto strategy and associated ecosystem from front to back-office processes and operations
• Architect and deploy process and procedures to ensure the safeguarding of digital assets
• Follow all emerging crypto trends, providers and regulatory developments

The ideal candidate will:

• Have several years of direct experience working in the digital assets space, ideally with a crypto-native firm, consulting organization, asset manager or bank
• Have a passion for the digital assets ecosystem and the opportunities for the new technologies, change and innovation, it provides.
• Be an excellent project manager, capable of organizing and guiding diverse project teams, and proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks
• Effectively communicate to engage with senior internal stakeholders and provide synthesized and clear recommendations to Point72 management
• Be a structured strategic thinker comfortable with tackling complex problems, building thorough financial and analytical models, and performing high-quality primary and secondary research
• Be inquisitive with the ability to gather and synthesize information to draw fact-based conclusions and recommendations
