The position will be a 3-month contract with the opportunity to become a permanent team member starting in Fall 2023. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the fine art industry in a gallery environment with past experience in team coordination and/or project management.</span></p><br></p><span>Gallery Operations Assistant is an entry-level opportunity to join a team of creatives working together in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY to develop, mentor, and exhibit contemporary art. The ideal candidate will be interested in working in a hybrid, fast-pasted NYC gallery space, engaging with artists and creatives spanning all disciplines. An interest in any/all immersive technology, digitally native art, decentralized Web3 space, and Metaverse is encouraged.&nbsp;</span></p><br></p><span>Since 2016, CAG has exhibited the works of emerging and established artists under the vision and direction of internationally recognized artist and musician Carrie Able. The competitive Artists and Residence program has attracted an expansive alumni roster with past participants going on to hold solo exhibitions, NYC gallery representation, scholarships, and international recognition through the development and mentorship of the program.&nbsp;</span></p><br></p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><br></p><ul><li><span>Oversee weekly program operations, scheduling, and communications&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Manage logistics for hybrid weekly professional development sessions&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Manage weekly on-site organization of gallery and studio space&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Liaise with the team, curators, and program director&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Liaise with program participants, scheduling with all to meet deadlines&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Manage group exhibition logistics of artwork drop off / pickup&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Develop social media and web content related to the program&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Assist with general ad-hoc needs for the exhibition prep&nbsp;</span></li><li>Update gallery social media </li></ul><br></p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><br></p><ul><li><span>Current Student / Recent Graduate with a background in Fine Art / Art History&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Interest and enthusiasm for working with a small, hands-on team&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of the fine art world, including best art handling practices&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Must be on-site in NYC &amp; can travel to Williamsburg weekly during the program</span></li></ul>
