Web3 Infrastructure Engineer

The North American Derivatives Exchange (NADEX), a wholly owned subsidiary of  Crypto.com, is fully regulated Chicago-based derivatives Exchange. It is unique in its offering, as it is the first exchange where retail investors can become members of an exchange directly, without the need for a broker. On the Nadex exchange, we list innovative capped-risk derivatives contracts on a wide range of global financial

markets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, deliver, secure, and maintain compute, virtualization, backup, storage, directory and cloud infrastructure, while following process, procedures and meeting defined SLAs.
• Collaborate with members of the Infrastructure Engineering team, product managers, stakeholders, developers, and vendors to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and debug issues that may present themselves during the life cycle of an infrastructural solution.
• Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, reliable and perform within business expectations, SLAs, and regulator requirements.
• Ensure that infrastructure solutions have had appropriate monitoring and logging enabled and are tested appropriately before delivering to the requestor.
• Develop solutions with an automation mindset that will be used throughout the lifecycle of the infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for all aspects of infrastructure, that outline process and procedures.
• Ensure that infrastructure solutions are following best practices and industry standards 
• Ensure that infrastructure is patched, upgraded, and maintained following patching and upgrade guidelines and maintenance windows.
• Participate in peer reviews of solutions and provide constructive feedback to other engineers
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies, trends and best practices in the field

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field 
• At least 7 years of professional experience in an infrastructure related role, with a strong knowledge of several different disciplines of infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills 
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Other duties as required 
• On call and after hours support as required
